General and product

  • Use the size chart on the product page. Measure your back from neck to waistline. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one for extra freedom of movement.

  • All our back protectors are certified according to EN-1621-2 and protect your back during any sport. However, Back protectors designed for a specific sport offer a fit or extra protection that specifically caters to that sport. 

  • Yes, the back protectors are designed to fit comfortably under your ski or snowboard jacket.

  • Yes, the thermal tops are perfect to wear loosely during winter sports or other outdoor activities.

  • Remove the protector pad and belly band. Wipe the protector pad and belly band with a damp cloth. The thermal top can go in the washing machine at 30 degrees, do not put it in the dryer.

  • The standard Spines back protectors are primarily designed for winter sports, but can also provide extra protection for other sports. Additionally, we have specifically designed protectors for a few other sports. Always check the safety standards.

  • They meet CE EN 1621-2 Level 1 or 2, the European standard for impact protection.

  • A back protector reduces the risk of injury in a fall or collision. More and more winter sports enthusiasts are wearing a back protector, just like a helmet.

  • No, they are flexible and light, you hardly notice you are wearing it.

  • They are for everyone. Both beginners and advanced users benefit from extra protection.

    1. Action: when you purchase a Spines kids-back protector , you will receive a free Smart Finder 2 from Fresh 'n Rebel, t.w.v. €14,99. (Color is a surprise)
    2. Quantity: you get one Smart Finder per purchased kids-back protector.
    3. Automatically: the Smart Finder will be automatically added to your cart for €0 .
    4. Duration: the action lasts as long as supplies last.
    5. Returns: if you return a kids-back protector , please also return the corresponding Smart Finder. If you don't, €14,99 will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.
    6. Validity: the action is valid for orders in the webshop of Spines and retail.
    7. Exchanging: the Smart Finder cannot be exchanged for cash or another product.
    8. Changes: Spines reserves the right to change or terminate the action at any time.

Order and payment

  • iDEAL, credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Klarna pay later.

  • That can be done as long as your order hasn't been shipped yet. Please contact us as soon as possible via info@spines.nl.

  • Yes, check out the list of sales points Stores

  • After you click on 'checkout', you'll get the option to enter a discount code. Enter the code and click on 'apply', the discount will be applied immediately.

  • Is a product on Pre-order? Then order and pay for the product, but you'll receive it as soon as it's in stock. The product will always have a latest delivery date mentioned. This way, you'll be the first to receive the product! You'll get an email when it's shipped. Note: If you order a pre-order product together with other items, your entire order will only be shipped once the pre-order product is in stock. If you'd prefer to receive the other items right away, please place a separate order.

Shipping and delivery

  • Orders placed on weekdays before 5:00 PM will be shipped the same day.

    One of our delivery partners will deliver the order to your home as soon as possible. Below is an overview of the average delivery days per country.

  • Yes, you will receive a track & trace link as soon as your order has been shipped.

  • Free with orders over €85. Below that 4.95 euros.

  • We deliver worldwide.

Returns and refunds

  • You have 14 days to change your mind. Register your return via our return portal. Product must be unworn and in original condition.

  • The return costs are €4,95.

  • Fill in the return form .

  • After receiving and checking the product, we will refund the amount within 5 working days.
